We converted this former 4 bedroom bungalow in Polgooth, Cornwall into a Five double bedroom bungalow with study by converting the loft and raising the roof line to create two extra bedrooms and a bathroom. The conversion added significantly to the floor space of the property.

The gables were built up on the sides of the bungalow and a new roof was built over the existing one. This having the added benefit of keeping the bungalow weather tight until the new roof was finished. We then added two dormers to the rear, this combined with the new ridge height gave greater head height over a larger floor area. The planning permission application, building regulations and structural calculations were all managed by ourselves, taking the burden away from the client. In total this project approx. 5 months to build during which the family were resident at all times.
